Davenport University’s Master of Science in Nursing was granted a 10-year term of accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education based on its visit in 2017. The CCNE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency.
This is the maximum term of accreditation offered by the commission. The program will be up for re-accreditation on Dec. 31, 2027.
“Accreditation by CCNE is the gold standard for nursing programs. We are pleased to have this recognition of our high quality program,” said Karen Daley, dean of the College of Health Professions.
In 2015 and 2016, post-graduation employment rates for MSN graduates was at 100 percent.
“Employers report 100 percent satisfaction with our MSN graduates and state they are well-prepared to excel in the advanced nursing role,” Daley said.
The online MSN program offers an advanced level of graduate study expanding a nurse’s knowledge, skills and competencies, and prepares post-licensure baccalaureate registered nurses for advanced nursing roles.
