Meijer team members and families eligible for up to $8,000 a year for four years
Davenport University and Meijer executives have signed a partnership agreement, providing Davenport University Gold Education Scholarships to Meijer team members and their families.
The Davenport University Gold Education Scholarships offer up to $8,000 per year in scholarship funds to Meijer team members; up to $6,500 per year to all Meijer spouses and children up to age 29; and a 20% discount on professional development certificates and certifications.
Davenport’s Corporate Education Scholarship Program provides new pathways for career development and mobility within an organization while reducing the financial challenges of higher education. The Davenport University Gold Scholarships are available to all Meijer team members, regardless of their location, through flexible in-seat and online offerings.

“Michigan is faced with a talent shortage within many sectors of our economy,” said Davenport University President Dr. Richard J. Pappas. “Through partnership programs with Meijer and other organizations, we’re able to help employers build talent from within and leverage their most invaluable resource – their current workforce.”
The Corporate Education Scholarship Program is a Davenport University initiative that creates opportunities for leading in-state companies to provide educational benefits to their employees, ensuring that top businesses in Michigan can make education accessible and affordable for their workforce.
Each scholarship is renewable for up to four years and can be used toward earning any of Davenport’s 60 undergraduate or graduate programs in business, technology, health or urban education.
