Davenport University is hosting Camp Infinity – a technology summer camp for girls entering 5th through 8th grades this fall. The sessions take place July 15 – July 19, 2024, on Davenport’s W.A. Lettinga Grand Rapids Campus.
Camp Infinity is a series of week-long sessions that give girls an introduction to computers and technologies through hands-on activities. The Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation is organizing camps throughout the state to attract young girls into technology careers.
Sessions at Davenport include 5th and 6th graders programming Dash robots and creating animation games using Scratch programming. Campers in 7th and 8th grade will build fully functional apps with MIT App Inventor and increase their problem-solving skills while programming Lego SPIKE Prime robots.
