Crain’s Grand Rapids Business named Davenport University President Richard J. Pappas one of the 200 most influential leaders in West Michigan for 2025. He is one of five people named in the Education category.

Crain’s Grand Rapids Business Editor Joe Boomgaard stated that those who made the list were chosen by the editorial team at the publication and no nominations were accepted. The leaders were chosen for their role in molding the region’s economy and innovating in ways that ensure a bright future for West Michigan.
