
Davenport announced that Jodi Chycinski has accepted the position of vice president of admissions for the university. In this role, Chycinski will lead the university’s admissions, recruitment, and corporate outreach programs.
Chycinski comes to Davenport having most recently served as the associate vice president of admissions for Grand Valley State University where she led undergraduate, international, and graduate recruitment. Under her leadership, Grand Valley saw significant enrollment growth.
“Jodi will be a tremendous addition to our team as Davenport continues to extend its reach across the region to help even more students earn an education in the fast-paced and growing industries of business, technology, health and urban education,” said Dr. Richard J. Pappas, president at Davenport University.
Chycinski brings more than 20 years of admissions experience including her first role in admissions at Davenport College in 1993.
“Jodi’s passion for higher education and dedication to helping students achieve their career dreams is contagious,” said Dr. Walter O’Neill, executive vice president for enrollment and student affairs. “I look forward to her leadership as we work with high schools, community colleges and businesses across the state and create greater opportunities for students to earn successful careers.”
She is a graduate of Davenport University with a degree in business administration. She also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
