DU faculty Steve Bacinski and Tim Pennings accompanied students Joshua Estrada, Zac Lingen, Tyler Palmer and Stefana Rusu to Chicago on Friday, July 28, for the annual Mathematical Association of America MathFest, which drew more than a thousand participants.
Steve gave an inspired talk titled “How to Win at Tenzi” to an appreciative audience of about 60, and DU students were able to hear a number of other speakers as well, including Dr. Rudy Horne of Morehouse College, who served as a consultant for the movie “Hidden Figures.”
