DTE Energy partners with Davenport University to offer Corporate Education Scholarship

At a plaque signing event on April 4, DTE Energy became an official partner of Davenport University’s Corporate Education Scholarship. Through the partnership, up to 50 DTE employees will have access to renewable scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 per year.

The Corporate Education Scholarship was created in January 2018 by Davenport University’s Institute for Professional Excellence (IPEx) and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. Additional scholarships are available to qualifying Michigan Chamber member companies and provide up to $250,000 scholarship dollars to each partner.

The Corporate Education Scholarship is a win-win for employers and employees alike. The scholarship creates an employer-sponsored benefit that can aid in recruitment and retention. At the same time, the benefit offsets the costs of furthering education for employees who want to advance their careers.

Another Corporate Education Scholarship partner, TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), was announced on March 4. TSFR owns Olga’s Kitchen, Applebee’s, MOD Pizza and many other casual dining restaurants across the state.

In addition to the Corporate Education Scholarship, Davenport University’s IPEx conducts over 1,000 training, consulting and corporate coaching engagements each year. The institute offers targeted professional development programs designed for busy working professionals as well as corporate consulting services designed to enhance employee development and overall business performance.
