Davenport University was honored with a prestigious Silver Award at Chief Learning Officer’s LearningElite Gala on Thursday, November 6. The annual event revealed the final rankings among 33 top-performing organizations across industries such as health care, finance, government and more — all recognized for excellence in corporate learning and development.

The recognition of the work by the university’s Office of Performance Excellence (OPE) places Davenport among the nation’s elite in L&D, validated by a rigorous review process. Each LearningElite application is evaluated by multiple judges with an average of 10 years’ industry experience, who assess organizations across five dimensions: learning strategy, leadership commitment, learning execution, learning impact and business performance results.

Executive Director of Performance Excellence Lynda Cribari, said the competition was especially strong this year and included global organizations with much larger teams and budgets.

“The Silver Award is something we’re truly proud of,” said Cribari. “It reflects the dedication our team brings to offering meaningful and memorable development opportunities. We’re grateful for the support of our board and senior leadership. They understand that investing in our faculty and staff helps make Davenport an employer of choice.”

With this recognition, the Office of Performance Excellence continues to demonstrate leadership in developing talent and fostering excellence across the university.
