Davenport University’s Casa Latina will be joining the fun at this weekend’s LAUP (Latin Americans United for Progress) Fiesta happening July 16-20 in Holland.
This vibrant celebration of LatinX culture will feature live music, performances, an artisan market, a farmers’ market, kids’ activities, a youth talent show, a car show and much more.
“Being part of the LAUP Fiesta means so much to us because it’s a chance to connect with our Latino community in a space that’s all about celebrating who we are,” said Alejandra Guillen, director of marketing and recruitment for Davenport’s Casa Latina. “Our partnership with LAUP is about more than sharing what Davenport and Casa Latina have to offer — it’s about opening real pathways to success. We want more families to see that higher education is possible for them, to break down barriers, and to show there’s a place here where they belong and can thrive. That’s why we’re here, and why this work matters so much.”
The LAUP Fiesta is one of the longest-running events in West Michigan, attracting more than 20,000 attendees each year.
