Davenport University’s free online tutoring services give any undergraduate or graduate student access to help with any subject anytime. Online tutoring is available 24/7 through Tutor.com and can be accessed through Davenport’s Blackboard student portal.
Help is available in more than 100 subjects, with math and accounting being the most popular. Students can get writing assistance, submit writing assignments and papers to have them reviewed, and take practice quizzes and tests. Spanish-speaking tutors are also available to help students with math, science, history, writing and studying.
Online tutoring is ideal for students learning remotely and those with busy schedules who are unable to attend office hours with their professors. This easy access to tutoring is especially helpful during final exams when students may be up late studying and not able to contact their professors.
“The fact that tutoring is available in a wide array of subjects is a great resource for our students,” said Sarah Murphy, senior advisor for Davenport. “As advisors, we encourage students to utilize tutoring, especially if they struggle in class. I tell my students to seek help immediately if they feel unsure about something, and not wait until they are so far behind that catching up or grasping concepts is more difficult.”
Having unlimited, easy and timely access to these study resources helps students excel while at Davenport and better prepares them for their future careers.
