Davenport University was recently named one of Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR).
Davenport has won the West Michigan Best and Brightest award numerous times, but this is the first time it has won for Metro Detroit.
“I am so proud that Davenport won this prestigious award,” said Leslie Elliott, director of Human Resources. “The award is a result of the university’s commitment to continuous improvement and its employees’ daily efforts to make Davenport a great place to work.”
Susan Crkovski, executive campus director for Davenport’s Warren Campus, attended the ceremony at the Henry in Dearborn and shares Elliott’s pride and enthusiasm.
“It was exciting to hear that Davenport was recognized as one of the best companies to work for, and I was honored to accept the award on behalf of the university,” said Crkovski. “I’m not surprised that Davenport was selected; it’s a great place to work! I have been employed with Davenport for more than 30 years. I retired at one point and came back because I love working with our students, faculty and staff.“
Companies that receive the Best and Brightest Award have proven to uphold and set strict standards for best practices for company culture, human resources and more. They also show a continued commitment to promoting inclusivity, collaboration, corporate responsibility and attract and retain top talent.
The winning companies were assessed on several key measures, including compensation, benefits and employee solutions; creative wellness and well-being solutions; employee enrichment, engagement and retention; employee education and development; and recruitment and selection.
