DavenFund to give $10,000 to employees for professional development, software, equipment and more

DavenFund — a program offered to employees to provide funding for professional development, software, equipment or other resources — is entering its third year in 2019.
The program is designed to help staff and faculty increase productivity and efficiency by funding requests ranging from $100 to $2,000. Previous recipients have used the funds for standing desks, conferences and team building. A total amount of $10,000 is available in 2019.
Applications (insert link https://davenfund.davenport.edu/) are open from Jan. 2 to Feb. 15 and recipients will be selected at random at a live event on April 11th, 2019. It will be live-streamed for employees.
Barbara Gering, Accounts Payable Specialist, and a 2018 DavenFund winner said “My supervisor strongly recommended to apply for DavenFund. I will use the money, so that my co-worker and I are able to go to an Accounts Payable workshop/seminar. Attending this seminar will help us make better use of our time, get tips on how to handle the load of incoming invoices and allow us to exchange experience with AP people from other companies.”
Adjunct faculty, student workers, temporary staff and contracted staff are not eligible to apply. Applications for DavenFund dollars must not be able to be funded through other funding options or items that are able to be funded through a budget line item such as supplies.
