Q: Peter, what motivated you to participate in the course?

A: Davenport University has a well-deserved, solid reputation for a best-in-class professional development curriculum. Indeed, they are a PMI certified provider of project management course offerings. There was no question in my mind, when preparing for the PMP certification exam, that Davenport was the place to receive that training. The commitment to providing adequate preparation for the exam was apparent by the knowledge, enthusiasm, and individual attention and concern demonstrated by the instructor (Kerry Prentice).

Q: What were some of the takeaways from the program?

A: I was able to fully understand what was necessary to succeed in passing the PMP certification exam. Essentials such as prioritizing knowledge, study materials that we generated – thus properly individualized – and perspective on what constituted adequate preparation time, and believe me, that cannot be underestimated. These were key to my passing the exam.

Q: How has your participation had a positive impact on you and/or helped you to achieve your goals?

A: Participation in this course was necessary for me to get the best investment of my time and money when taking the test. The bar for passing is high and first-time success is not easy. Working with Mr. Prentice improved these odds. Further, the PMP certification provides bonafide credibility on one’s resume and has opened many new opportunities for my new career path.
